In medical editing, I review structure and logic of the text as well as the figures and tables. I also create indexes, lists of abbreviations, and bibliographies, and help you comply with copyright laws. I also ensure that the text is prepared for the desired layout.
In medical proofreading, in addition to general spelling, I check the consistency of spelling, abbreviations and formats.
In medical translations, I pay attention to fluency, i.e. do not translate verbatim or with the help of a translator program. In addition, I always verify the terminology on the basis of current guidelines and publications. Editing and creating an index is also possible.
I am not specialized in any particular area. In the past 20 years I translated and/or edited countless books covering a wide range of medical and dental disciplines (references). My professional spectrum includes preclinical areas (anatomy, histology, physiology, pathology, biochemistry, etc.) as well as all the clinical disciplines of human medicine and dentistry.
Of course, the scope of work will be adapted to your wishes. There are no rigid complete packages. Please get an overview on my pages and do not hesitate to contact me for more information or an offer.
Yours, Sibylle Toenjes
